Chef Lewis Dobson
From an early age Lewis has had a huge passion for food and cooking. He originally became a chef in a small cosy pub in his home town called Shepshed.
He studied at Loughborough College in the daytime and at night would obtain fresh ingredients and turn them into high quality tasty meals. This gave him his love for only the freshest seasonal ingredients. From the moment he started to learn more about cooking he knew that he wanted to work within the culinary industry. After 2 years studying at Loughborough College Lewis was awarded his professional chef diploma. During this time he received the outstanding achievement award and also the student of the year achievement award for both years. Lewis was eager to learn more and develop his skills, so he had his mind set on getting a job in fine dining. He did a trial shift at a 1 Michelin star establishment called John’s House in Mountsorrel and after showing his skills and dedication he and was offered a position to join the team. He continued learning his craft for just over three years and then decided to take the next step in his career; he applied to work at Sat Bains one of the best restaurants in the country, located in Nottingham and currently boasting 2 Michelin stars. The chef’s tables at the restaurant were great experience for the customers and Lewis loved cooking directly in front of the guests; he could really showcase his knowledge and flair on the plate, using his creativity and expertise. Lewis worked his way around the kitchen for four and a half years to turn him into the polished chef he is today.
